Title: Review of DeshiBenny Harmanus CH1
Category: Rollerblading Articles
Blog Entry: Wellwhere to start, straight out the Box the Benny Haramus Deshi looks sick.White with Blue stripes etc.I was amazed at how much Deshi had changed the soulplate as their past ones had been too chunky and big for me and draged the boot down. What was also good to see was a bucklöe AND velc´ro system as past deshi skates such as the dk1 and 2 were just velcro and were let down when the skate gained some flex, anyxway onto the skate in categories: Flexibility: Overall the skate flexes very well straight out the boot.Due to the nature of the skate being almsot a softboot construction, this boot is so flexible that when doing topsides, the boot almost glides over the ledge or railyouatre topsiding and makes topsides a breeze. marks: 10/10 Soul Plates: When I was at the skate shop buying these I seriouslky considered trhe USD DualSoulplates, but I´m gflad ididn´t the new soul plates are just ???ing awesome. The Material slides so fast and is hard wearing to a certain degree. The grooves in the soul plate are that deep but are big enough to help in some tricks.Farvs and torques are automatically locked in for some reason due to the soulplates design. As for topsides,at the rear the enlarged soul wall really helps when doing topside tricks as yoiu have more surface arera to lock onto the rail thus ensuring that you do not just glide and fall off the topside tricks. The only thing i do hateis the fact that the soulplates are soo fast that sometimes correcting, adjusting or even just trying to stall can be made difficult by the stupidly fast soul plates, but all in al, there are no flaws with the soul plate as such. marks 9/10 Skateability: The skates I must say feel very light boot only, and even with the soulkplate on they are still redicously light. My friend rocks the original black CH1 and says that with a ground control featherlite frame the skates just rock. I decided for this review to use a salomon stock frame as I coulodn´t be assed with GC framnes or any other such frames(plkease note the Benny Harmanus Deshi comes with a suspension frame with the full setup) The skate is very responsive to your feet.Basically what this means is that when the skate is strapped in nice and snug, the skates almost feel as if your wearing trainers oin your feet. The sifika liner really is comfy and i have never experienced a liner like it,only ones that comes close i would say are Jug Liners. The skate is so robuist and stronmg it can just about handle anything you throw at it,BUT.... the outer skin is made of some kind of leathery crap that seems to tear and scratch awy with cess slsides etc. and the white really doesnt last, but hexy who cares when its a sick ass skate your skating. All in all the Deshi Benny Harmanus really is a skate to check out,for beginners i wouldn´t really recomend thjisd skate as the soulplates(the grinding plates duh) really are ridicoulsy fast, but for anyone else i recommend these skates, for me it was a worthwhile buy.
