Title: New Skatepark in Trowbridge

Blog Entry: heres the deal bro it has been like 7 years to finally get it done the current status is the foundations are complete and the basic laying of the floor Bendcrete will start work soon, this will be slightly delayed form the choice of starting work going into the winter! there will a massive mud surrounding as to make the sound go upwards if you are travelling by car on the map it is as bath is south east of bristol Trowbridge is south east of bath.  This is a drawing i did for someone as i didnt have theskatepark image to hand where i have written 3d is where the mud bank will surround the train station is where the words skatepark are.. no lie and on the same ground as the trainstation car park! there is a completion date of january / february which is pooe but we will have a massive gathering of peeps in the summer prob best to save the pic to get a better look (and we have really good street near aswell!) Safe all TerryC. UPDATE The park has come on quickly bendcrete are getting on with it quickly which is good considering the weather. There is a rail the size of sharkbite which is knee high and a knee high ledge next to it 'Transfers!!' and the shape of a 8ft spine. It is more suited to rollers and bmxers it is not some little kiddies park there are going to be some amazing lines there and it will have good flow to it because the ramps are not so far apart like i said more suited to. there is a skateboard section at the top of the rail behind the vert wall with a mellow 4 set with two square rails both about a foot high and a long ledge from the ledge next to the rail going all the way around a corner and down the 4 set about 40 ft or so knee high! the best bit for the rollers is the vert wall launching from the quarter pipe air over the jump box get some gnarly speed and grind the vert wall which has a quarter going up to vert and then when you have grinded along it there is flatbanks to land into (the same flat bank as the rail) or land the other side onto the skateboarders! I hope I am painting some picture for you! Ok the middle of the park next to the jumpbox is the 8ft spine and then next there is a driveway with a rail and ledge section either side like newport skatepark this will be on one side of the park where it is at the bottom of the flatbank with the rail ok and the other end of the park after the driveway will lead into a 6ft quarter this will be hipped into another 6ft quarter facing another 6ft quarter hence making a half pipe and then hipped to another 6ft quarter! that last quarter pipe is the same one which will go into the jump box! so for imagination sake you grind the rail 360 the drive way 270 the hip then 270 the next hip then get your pump on over the jumpbox and hit the vert wall with the spine in the middle of all that! you could stop your grind early and land into the flatbank and 1080 the spine! There is a mud bank going around the park to make the noise go upwards and so the neighbours cant see the park or monstrosity as they call it! they will see skaters go flying in the air without seeing no ramps cool huh?!  There is a plan to dig into the mud bank surrounding the park in 2009 / 2010 and so when you have jumped the spine you can roll onto the half pipe and blitz around a bowl quarter and back into the park which will be sick but we will need more money for that!          For some reason there is a ridiculously fat rail at the top of the flatbank next to the vert wall going between the wall and the rail so any attempts at grinding the rail from the right side will involved some disaster which is a bit bitching but cant really complain! So all are welcome to Trowbridge, Wiltshire! home of the Trowbridge Skate Crew TSC.. there is always a good atmosphere and it will be really good this next coming summer! Trowbridge is not difficult to find its near Bath! a half hour north east of NASS showground! The park is on the doorstep of the Train station on the Bristol to Weymouth line. An asda about a minute away ask the locals but you can see it from the train station! as with a pub about 20 seconds away over the road actually make that two pubs! lol There are some sick street spots around like those rails in my avatar pic 'neg fish circa 2003!' only two minute drive from the park the town isnt a very big place so all spots arent far from each other! you will have to ask the locals because I have written too much and can't be fuked to write anymore! :)  I hope after this little description you might be able to make something of that tiny picture i posted Hope to see all you rollers sessioning soon  TerryC. Josie - you will have to PM me your number! reppin Wilts-side!  Oh and don't know why but the whole town is getting the skating bug so I decided to relaunch Ukrollers www.ukrollers.co.uk reppin uk 2001 - 2002! with the infamous Chris Brand best skater poll! lol click the link it will just say 'under construction'   That is like the most I have written on a skating website since Masscrew!   From looking at the park on the weekend the spine consists of aquarterpipe one side and an 8ft flatbank the other! kind of skateboarder friendly! kind of dropping off the vert wall spinning over the spine friendly aswell! I jumped the fence the other weekend and seshed some rails as did some skateboarders good news on the sesh! The skateboarders are currently in talks with bendcrete to put in a genny gap (generation gap) which is basically the flatbank with the knee high sharkbite rail will have a 2 ft high gap at the top so the bank will stop short of the top so the skate boarders can do tricks up it as many of you would have seen on extreme sports channel this would have no effect on the run up to the rail apart from when jumping to the rail there will be no floor next to it which isn't as bad as the other side which has a fookin gert rail in front of it! bmxers and their peg stalls! and the out line of a box ledge / wall like hengrove and with a rail like newport should be sick oh and what the skateboard section is too short for the run up to the 4 set so currently there is a load of bitching skateboarders! lol
