holmes chapel is a nice little town, near in the middle of crewe and knutsford. it has a primary school, a leisure center, and a well known comprehensive school, and with all these youth based centers, comes youths to the village, unfortunatly, there is NOTHING to do! me and a few of my freinds skate, but ever since we moved out of our mini ramps of the back garden onto the streets, we are looked upon like aliens! old people do your head in, dont they? i mean, youve found a sweet sk8 spot in town, lets say, stockport, and some curious old woman with a dog that looks a million and one years old waddles up to you and shouts right next to your ear, HAVNT YOU GOT SOMETHING BETTER TO DO? YOUR MAKING THIS TOWN LOOK UNTIDY! WHY CANT YOU SETTLE FOR CHESS OR BACKGAMMON? it realy pisses you off, doesnt it? now, imagine that happening about once every hour, every hour your skating on your perfect rail, ledge or speed bump! because thats what happens here in holmes chapel, over here, skating IS a crime! but, we dont fret, we just skate, skate untill the next hour, the next old-age-pensioner comes along and interrupts our leisurly skate, and we keep on skating untill they call the police or 'community warden' then, we are told to move on, so we grab our rails, bags, cameras and skate to the other side of town, the indy estate. at the industrial estate, there aint much, a few old warehouses, but theres this 1, it was used by royal mail in the 80's, they moved out, abandoning it, leaving all the doors unlocked, BIG mistake! at first, the only people to visit there were gypsies, who trashed the place, ripping the offices to peices and stealing stuff like the lights off the ceiling etc. but a few year later, we got in, well, not me or ma mates, the majority of youths that like to smoke weed, drink untill they see stars, nd all that. and they had a turn at smashing the place up, then, thats when we were let in. atm were jus skatin flat-land, doing drops off the truck-gangways, and clearing up after all the gipos nd the stoner crew, so we can skate without breaking our necks! but now, were startin to build a park in there, ramps and rails, stuff like that, but, the only thing is, is theres a massive house jus across tha road frm the only entrance, and they call the police at the slightest hit of a hammer, and we have to skate for our lives!! so we make the ramps on this big car park, near it, and get some people to help us lug em in and carry them through the gangways, and settle them down inside. if your comin to hc for a skate, i wouldnt bother, its not worth the train fair or the petrol in your car !
