so yeah - its sometime in 2001, k2 250's and salomon st's are all the rage, usd (upsidedown) psirus have just come out i managed to somehow get a hold of a pair of latimer psirus skates. farvs were uncool and nobody skated anti-rocker. and 4 wheels how u rolled simple as. switch ups were just strtin to make a move and champ baumstmler still hadnt let his coke addiction mess his skatin. times were all good. i remember havin a six pack back then - from skatin every dam day , we'd just sorted a deal with the council to finally get us a skate park ( tat would eventuallt be a refugee camp for smacko's and scallies) but what do u expect when the council just want to shut u up- did u really think they were that excited about gettin a skate park?? hindsight is a bitch. i remember skatin top off, jeans tucked into skates - tho this was only just becoming the norm and the debate still went about old skool and new skool, and unbolting the ramps with rick and pete's dads monkey wrench. ??? the layout - the park was on a slight hill anyway- and we wanted to go huge over the dam box. the grind box was a laugh - two coping pipes welded together in the middle - about 8 inch off the ramp - was mint tho cos u could do outrageous switch ups on it and huge disaters whilst the scally girls stood and sucked on ice pops. tbc
