Someone who presumably doesn't want the park re-opened, last night entered the new Ukskate-park and deliberately cut through the mains gas and Water pipes leaving the park Full of Gas and flooded in one area !! Fortunately as I was about to enter the premises accompanied by a large group of volunteers, I smelt gas and didn't turn on the lights as I would usually upon entering. If I had, the whole place would have blown up along with me and all the young Volunteers waiting outside to get in !!! I opened all doors and shutters and then managed to get to the Main Gas isolator to shut it off. Then I shut off the mains water. Upon inspection, a number of Water pipes and one Main Gas Pipe had been deliberately cut through and left leaking Gas and flooding Water. This was a calculated, deliberate attempt to Destroy the park and unless the person/s responsible are really stupid, it was also obvious that many people could have been seriously injured or indeed Killed if the gas had blown up ! If ANYONE knows anything about this whatsoever, please contact either the Stockport Police, Crimestoppers or Myself in Confidence. This skatePark WILL RE-OPEN !!!
